What's Next? Our current best
guess about our upcoming itinerary... |
April 28 to June 25, 2008 - EMYR
A group of 80 boats will travel together
along the western and southern coasts of Turkey, to Northern
Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt. We actually
head back to Israel after Egypt and finish there on June
18th. We will probably organize a tour of Jordan from
there after the rally ends.
July - September, 2008 - Making our was westward
out of the Mediterranean
We'll probably visit the Greek side of
Cyprus as a first stop out of Israel, and then continue
along the Turkish coast, stopping at spots we missed or
favorite places along the way. We'll spend a month or
so visiting the Greek islands. We plan to stop in
Malta, and perhaps Tunisia, Sicily, southern Sardinia,
Menorca and Mallorca. I'm not sure we'll hit Gibraltar
again but we'd love to see Morocco.
October - December, 2008 - Set up for a crossing
from Cape Verde to Barbados
The Atlantic Coast of Morocco, the Canary
Islands and Cape Verde. 1,800 miles from Cape Verde to
Barbados - hoping to arrive before Christmas Day.
January - June, 2009 - The Caribbean
We'll make our way slowly south through the
Caribbean, aiming to be in South America for the 2009
hurricane season. That's about as far as we have
planned to date. (April, 2008)
